AMVCA 2014: The Beauty And The Beauty

Iya Dudu was live at the 2014 edition of the Africa Movie Viewer’s Choice Awards  (AMVCA 2014). Which held Saturday, March 8th 2014 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event was hosted by IK Osakioduwa, Osas Ighodaro and Vimbai Mutinhiri, and featured a host of the best and brightest stars in African Entertainment.

The well organized event went well with very minute flaws. The very noticeable one is that of the mix-up that happened when the award for the best actress in Yoruba drama was to be presented. The Sealed envelope given to the presenters had the name of Mercy Akhigbe who was the winner of the Yoruba Category.

Pete Edochie's response to his nomination which was recorded and played on the screens at the award remains a monument for movie practitioners.

Above all, the event was cool. With sparkling performance by Waje and Cobhams Asuquo, Flavour and a not so crowd carrying along Davido.
